For the client, we organized a 5-day study tour featuring selected sustainable practices in Slovenia Green – cerftified destinations and businesses. The participants were representatives from destination organizations and tourism businesses. We tailored the professional program based on the client’s preferences and preliminary selection of days (Study Tour Slovenia Mix & Match Offer). Additionally, we incorporated sustainable mobility and inspiring green stories from Slovenian tourism stakeholders. In the program, we exclusively connected only certified destinations—holders of the Slovenia Green Destination label. As part of the itinerary, we conducted a workshop on the Green Scheme of Slovenian tourism, covering the Slovenia Green Consortium and the development of Slovenia Green Routes.
Continuing in the field, we organized green coordinators’ presentations, highlighting their destinations’ sustainable achievements and the challenges in sustainable tourism development. The tour commenced in Ljubljana, followed by visits to Radovljica and Žirovnica (all by train). On the third day, participants explored Bled and Bohinj, and the day after experienced a spectacular train ride from Bohinjska Bistrica to Štanjel, which provided breathtaking views. The tour concluded with cycling through the Karst region (part of the Slovenia Green Gourmet Route), using e-bikes organized by Visit GoodPlace. Participants also enjoyed tasting local wine varieties at a local winemaker and touring the UNESCO site Škocjanske Caves. After the tour, we prepared an e-package for all participants, including presentations from the destinations, a contact list of the stakeholders they met during the tour, and photos.
