The level of sustainable tourism development in Slovenian destinations is assessed using the Green Destinations standard which is adopted to the national situation and known as Slovenia Green. Since Slovenia won the title European Region of Gastronomy 2021, we upgraded the standard with an optional gastronomy module. Four additional criteria will help develop Slovenian destinations’ gastronomy in a more sustainable manner.
